Opera Mate

The Opera Mate is named after the famous 'Opera Game' played by Paul Morphy at the Paris Opera in 1858. A bishop and rook combine to deliver checkmate: the bishop cuts off escape squares diagonally while the rook delivers check on the back rank. It's one of the most elegant mating patterns in chess.
