Pillsbury's Mate

Pillsbury's Mate is named after Harry Nelson Pillsbury, one of the greatest American chess players. In this pattern, a rook delivers checkmate along a file (typically the g-file or h-file) while a bishop controls the diagonal escape route. The opponent's own pawns complete the trap.
