The **Colle System** arises after 1.d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.e3. White builds a pawn triangle (c3, d4, e3) and develops pieces to natural squares. The key idea: prepare the e3-e4 break to unleash the d3 bishop. Named after Edgard Colle.
