Triangulation

Triangulation is a maneuver where you move your king in a triangle (three moves to return to the same square) to effectively 'waste a move' and transfer the turn to your opponent. The goal is to reach the same position but with your opponent to move, creating zugzwang -- where any move worsens their position.
