• Knights love outposts — squares protected by pawns that can't be attacked by enemy pawns.
• A knight on the rim is dim — centralize your knights for maximum reach.
• Knights are better than bishops in closed positions with locked pawns.
• Look for knight forks — they attack two pieces at once and are hard to see coming.
